Home      About us

I am thrilled you are here looking at our website. I am the photographer and my husband, Eddie, is my equipment handler. Eddie teaches junior high geography, and I am an art teacher that has decided to take a different track in life for now. I have a BFA from Eastern Michigan University with a concentration in Photography and I am currently working on my Masters in Instructional Technology at Saginaw Valley State University.

Photography is my passion in life and has been for a long time. I started with my first darkroom experience in 5th grade, and my passion grew quickly. My father purchased my first SLR camera, a Canon AE-1 that I still own, when I was 12. In high school, I attended photography classes at Heron Art School in Indianapolis. Again, I absolutely loved working in the darkroom and was exposed to alternative processes. In college, I tried many different tracks from Physics to Computer Science. One summer I took a photography class for fun, and I knew my path had been laid out!

I currently shoot digitally, and I enjoy it thoroughly. I enjoy working in the digital world and the manipulation possibilities are endless. But I do miss the smell of the darkroom. I miss the “zone” I would get into working and moving around. I also miss the alternative processes – a love spurred on by a very special professor I had, Lisa Steichmann. She was an absolute inspiration. My husband is here to support that passion and help in any way possible!
